Sydney is torn between two worlds: the world of adulthood and the world of adolescence. Having dropped out of college in her first semester, Sydney chose the path of adolescence. Sydney is known for her razor wit and her sweet demeanor. Sarcastic and observant, Sydney has opinions on just about everything and isn’t afraid to share them with anyone. Sydney works at a local coffee house called Jitters where she loves/hates her job, mostly because of the customers.
Chloe loves being in the clubs and surrounded by music. She is fun, loving and possesses the total opposite character traits of the stereotypical club person. Being balanced in mind and spirit, Chloe is the supportive voice and conscious of Sydney, encouraging her to move forward in life but doing so without being judgmental. Chloe has found recent success as a club DJ and often dresses the part, but that look belies the sweet and nurturing nature that lies underneath.
Chase is the lone guy in the trifecta of friends consisting of Sydney, Chloe and himself. Chase is an aspiring tattoo artist. Having just finished up his apprenticeship, he is working at a local tattoo shop, but wants to work with people who take it as seriously as he does. Chase has feelings for Sydney that are more than the close friendship that they have, but he is turned off by her lack of motivation to better herself. He is highly motivated to achieve his goal of opening his own tattoo shop and wants to bring Sydney into a new life with himself, if only she’d get her act together.
Abbi is Sydney’s older sister. Tending to be selfish and stubborn, she often refuses to acknowledge she is/was wrong about anything and usually does what she can to avoid responsibility. She is a fun girl to be around when she’s generous, but a burden when she’s down. Abbi can often seem depressed and this is usually due to her constant need for attention and/or entertaining. Underneath it all, Abbi is severely jealous of Sydney’s friend Chloe for being successful at such a young age and wants to be like her. Abbi also flirts with almost any man she encounters, though she has her eye on a certain man….
Malcomb is the singer and guitarist in his band Parliament of Rooks. Thought the band has a loyal following, the band has yet to sign any kind of record contract or break out of the local scene. The band is good, but they are notorious for having fights and anarchy erupt at their shows. Because of this, promoters are reticent to book them. Malcomb is a great guy, but is completely wrapped up in his band to the point that it is all he talks about. Malcomb met Sydney’s sister Abbi at a show and the two began dating, though Malcomb is not sure how faithful she is to him.
